At 4D, we strive to give you clear information about our licensing terms. To that end, we've updated our End User License Agreement (EULA)  in an effort to make it more modern, concise, and easier to understand.

Linked to the EULA, a new document has been created to better explain 4D products and licenses. This will help you decide which product is appropriate for your specific needs.

Starting January 1st, 2025, the development environment, including Developer Editions Professional and Standard, will only be accessible on a subscription basis by joining the Partner Program. This will ensure that the entire Community can benefit from all the tools available to help you develop more efficiently. In addition to the development environment, the Partner Program entitles you to access to technical support, the Knowledge Base, 4D Forum’s exclusive channels, special releases and much more.

Please note that 4D Unlimited Desktop will no longer be bundled with 4D Developer Professional. The deployment of single-user applications will now require licenses. The licenses you already own will keep their current feature set.

For 4D Partners, we’ve also updated our Terms and Conditions which will take effect on January 1st, 2025. The T&C document is available upon request from your account manager.
